This week’s East Village Boy of the Week is Artem, from New York (via Russia)

I only shot some test pics of Artem the first time I met him. He was alluringly beautiful so I asked him back for a second shoot. I wanted to see how far he would go and how much he would trust me. Photographing a person is a collaborative process for me - I have to work with what they give me. Lately I’ve been doing this in my apartment. Being in someone’s home gives a sense of comfort to a subject and they then give more to the shoot. Plus it’s always fun to get a stranger in your bed. -J. Yatrofsky
