This week's East Village Boy of the Week is Artem, from New York

I followed Artem on an exploration of the empty beaches and dormant rides of Atlantic City in winter. Shot on black and white film, the images mute the neon glare of the casinos and boardwalk, capturing instead the soft and cold light of the off-season. Artem's journey is part playful expedition, part solitary indulgence, roaming through the heightened yet impersonal reality of hotel rooms, alleys and carny games. This series marks the first in a budding relationship between the me and my muse. — Daniel Rampulla
