Harold’s End
, by JT LeRoy

hardcover, new
Last Gasp, 2004
$35 (USD), includes shipping, via PayPal or check SOLD OUT

Ok, so we all know JT LeRoy was exposed as a fraud a couple years ago, but they’re still great stories, and if nothing else its an incredible moment in literary history. This one’s the usual: an angst-ridden, heroin-addicted underage street kid with a pet snail, hanging out with other street hustlers and their oddball pets in San Francisco. That old chestnut.

It’s also filled with drippy sweet illustrations of the aforementioned street hustlers and their pets, by Cherry Hood.

The best part is the critical acclaim on the back.
“JT LeRoy is the most interesting, passionate and gifted of writers, very few have his heart and courage… I admire his writing tremendously.”
- Lou Reed. OMG LOU REED!

“Good Lord what a book! JT LeRoy’s writing is savagely authentic and appallingly beautiful. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore.” - John Waters. Umm.

Zadie Smith, Nan Goldin, and Dave Eggers all get taken for a ride too.

We have three copies so send us an email at EDITOR@EASTVILLAGEBOYS.COM to get one.
